What the future terms may cover
Each section below describes a possible direction, not an adopted policy. Language may change materially as the service, research model, and legal review develop.

01
Eligibility and accuracy
Eligibility requirements are still being defined. A future version may address minimum age or legal capacity, authority to submit information, and any geographic or experience-based limits.
The proposed participation standard is that submissions should be honest, accurate to the contributor’s knowledge, and based on genuine experience. Verification steps and correction procedures remain under review.
Requirements pending review
02
Acceptable use and community standards
The future terms may prohibit misuse such as impersonation, fabricated submissions, manipulation of results, harassment, threats, discriminatory content, unlawful material, or sharing another person’s sensitive information without appropriate permission.
Rules for conflicts of interest, incentives, automated access, and attempts to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service are also being considered.
Standards not yet final
03
Intended research use — under review
BuilderStudy is being designed to collect and organize homeowner-reported experience for research, analysis, and possible aggregated community insight. The permitted uses, consent language, verification approach, retention practices, and relationship to future notices have not been finalized.
No statement in this outline promises that a submission will be used, analyzed, included in a dataset, or reflected in a public result.
Use framework under review
04
Moderation and no publication guarantee
A future policy may allow submissions to be reviewed, verified, withheld, declined, edited for limited purposes, or removed under standards that are still being developed.
Submitting information would not guarantee publication, attribution, response, investigation, ranking impact, or continued availability. Any review or moderation process may be incomplete and should not be treated as an endorsement.
Process pending definition
05
Intellectual property and submission permissions
License language is pending counsel. Any future provision about ownership, contributor representations, permission to host or adapt submissions, display rights, attribution, duration, revocation, or sublicensing is intentionally unresolved.
This outline does not grant BuilderStudy a license and does not state what rights a contributor would retain or provide. No one should infer permissions from this placeholder.
Counsel drafting required
06
Disclaimers and limitations
Any future disclaimers, warranty language, limits of liability, dispute terms, remedies, indemnity provisions, or jurisdiction-specific qualifications must be drafted and reviewed by counsel.
BuilderStudy research, ratings, excerpts, or community information may be incomplete, subjective, or based on limited samples. This draft does not establish a standard of care, promise accuracy, or allocate risk between anyone.
Risk terms TBD
07
Changes, notices, and contact
This outline may change, be replaced, or be withdrawn. The process for approving final terms, setting an effective date, notifying users, handling earlier submissions, and recording versions is TBD.
A terms-related contact method and response process are also TBD. They should be added only after ownership, monitoring, and escalation responsibilities are confirmed.
Owner and channel TBD
